Fishing on the River Dee

The River Dee is one of Scotland’s most famous salmon rivers. It stretches from The Cairngorm Mountains near the village of Braemar and flows for over 70 miles through the picturesque Royal Deeside Valley in Northeast Scotland before it enters into the North Sea at Aberdeen.

In addition to the run of spring fish, the river also provides some excellent summer fishing for salmon, grilse and sea trout.

Scotsport organizes fishing on various beats from March until October.

Accommodation is arranged at Learney House which is a lovely baronial mansion dating back to the 18th century, situated on a hillside with a spectacular panoramic view over the East Grampian Highlands and only 5 miles from the river Dee.

Accommodation can be arranged as self catering or full board for up to 10 persons.
